Grades in Gynecomastia Surgery

A gynecomastia surgery is divided into three grades, with each division categorized based on the degree of treatment required. This classification also includes a puffy nipple.

The entire procedure, which includes operating on a few glands, blood vessels, and nerves, is completed. A buildup of excess fat over the chest regions is common as a result of the use of certain medications and drugs.

The three types of gynecomastia are mild, moderate, and severe.

The mild type, Grade 1, has some roundness and an enlarged nipple. Grade 1 glands are typically larger than normal.

Grade 2 has a more feminine appearance, with more fat and glands than Grade 1. These incidents are most common among bodybuilders and athletes who use supplements and steroids. Grade 2 is most common in men, accounting for approximately three-fourths of all patients. This grade includes gland and fat treatment.

Then there's Grade 3 Gynecomastia, which looks like a female breast and is extremely uncommon. The procedure involves the removal of skin, glands, and fat from the chest region as part of the treatment.
